All of GLE Solar Energy’s collector panels have achieved interim certification by the Solar Rating & Certification Corporation (SRCC), qualifying them for federal and state tax incentives. All four unit sizes are entering the final stage of testing at an SRCC-accredited laboratory, and we expect to reach full certification in the OG-100 and OG-300 standards during Fall 2011.
Since our products have not yet completed SRCC performance testing, our interim certification documents display industry minimum performance ratings, in accordance with SRCC policy. When the SRCC’s final report is published, we know that the performance data will see a remarkable increase from the values shown on the interim certification documents.
Once we attain final notification of OG-100 and OG-300 approval from the SRCC, we will pursue Energy Star certification from the EPA and the U.S. Department of Energy. All qualifying OG-300 solar thermal systems to date have received accelerated notification of Energy Star approval, so we expect to have Energy Star certification before the end of 2011. Energy Star certification will qualify our customers for additional tax incentives.
Continue to check back as the situation develops.
